Prior to derby what was your skating experience? Skating parties in elementary school

Any sports experience in the past that helps you as a derby girl? I played ball in high school, that has taught me how to work as a team.

Do you have any pre-bout rituals? Yes, I drink a Gatorade juicy pack before each game.

My derby name came from the bartender of the bar where we first decided to start a roller derby team.

I’ve climbed mountains

To this day I can’t believe this all worked out so well. My parents used to laugh at me when I mentioned roller derby. They had no clue, this town had no clue. But somehow nearly 20 of the brightest, baddest, hussies I’ve been blessed to know, came together to help change a community. In the process we changed ourselves. I’ve traveled the state and met some wonderful people, I’m no longer fat…I’m a “big girl” with a booty that some skinny jammer doesn’t want to meet. I’ve learned leadership and when and when not to shout, I’ve learned more about heart, hard work and laziness then I ever knew, and I’ve made all the best friends a person could want. When people ask me what I do, I never talk about the job that actually pays me, I say I am a roller girl, more specifically…I’m a Floral City Roller Girl.
